LPILE v2015 by Ensoft, Inc. is a geotechnical analysis program for evaluating the lateral response of single piles and drilled shafts. It models nonlinear soil–structure interaction with established p–y curve methods and supports multilayered soil profiles, groundwater conditions, and a range of pile materials and shapes. Engineers use LPILE to estimate pile deflection, bending moment, shear, and soil reaction with depth, and to develop pile-head load–deflection relationships for design and verification. The software is widely applied to bridge, marine, and energy projects where lateral demands from wind, waves, current, impact, or seismic loading govern foundation performance.
